Length of Video:  56 minutes and 10 seconds

Miami’s Point View subdivision began as swamp land in the heart of the Brickell neighborhood. It was the vision of a real estate entrepreneur from Saint Louis, Missouri, who saw the beauty and potential for development of this one block stretch of land. By the early 1920s, Point View was a thriving residential quarter that became one of the most desirable places in Miami to own a winter estate.

This webinar will tell the story of Locke T. Highleyman, the subdivision’s developer, and his beloved Point View. One will learn about the residences and residents of this impressive quarter. It was once part of the Gold Coast of Miami, and still holds the memory of a forgotten Miami.
